Mediterranean Roast Beef Ciabatta

What You Need

  • 4 slices Sara Lee® Angus Roast Beef..
  • 1 Ciabatta roll; split.
  • 2 tsp Olive oil.
  • ¼ large Onion, peeled; sliced thin.
  • ¼ tsp Salt.
  • ¼ tsp Sugar.
  • To taste Pepper.
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise.
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest.
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice.
  • 1 large Basil leaf; finely chopped.

How to Make It

  1. Heat olive oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onions, salt, sugar and pepper.
  3. Cook, stirring often, until onions soften and start to turn golden, approximately 10 minutes.
  4. Turn heat to low, cover skillet and cook for another ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Mix mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon juice and basil until blended.
  6. Spread mayonnaise mixture on both cut sides of the ciabatta roll.
  7. Layer bottom ciabatta half with roast beef.
  8. Top with onions.
  9. Top with top half of ciabatta roll.
