Sweet and Spicy Peppered Roast Beef Sandwich

What You Need

  • 6-7 slices Sara Lee® Angus Medium Roast Beef.
  • 1 6-inch French baguette; toasted.
  • ¼ cup watercress.
  • ¼ cup sour cream.
  • 1 tsp prepared horseradish.
  • ½ tsp half & half.
  • To taste Salt.
  • 1 tbsp butter.
  • 1 cup yellow onions; very thinly sliced.

How to Make It

  1. Melt butter in a medium sauté pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions.
  3. Sauté until golden brown, stirring occasionally for approximately 30-40 minutes.
  4. Season to taste.
  5. Combine sour cream and horseradish in a small bowl.  If too thick, thin out with half & half.
  6. Season to taste with salt.
  7. Layer watercress, roast beef and onions on once slice of French baguette.
  8. Drizzle with 1½ tbsp. horseradish sauce.
  9. Top with remaining slice of bread and serve with remaining horseradish sauce.
