Black Forest
Caprese Salad

Layers upon layers of deli-style Black Forest Ham take the traditional Italian Caprese salad to another level. Just slice thick and stack for a light lunch or a simple start to a special meal.

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Trim off a thin slice from the top and bottom of the tomatoes to make a flat surface
  2. Slice each tomato into 4 even slices
  3. Cut each mozzarella ball into 4 even slices
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar and 1/4 tsp. of salt and pepper
  5. Slowly whisk in 1/4 cup of olive oil until vinaigrette is emulsified
  6. Season tomatoes and mozzarella with basil, salt, and pepper
  7. Cut ham into triangles
  8. Drizzle 2 Tbsp. of vinaigrette over stacks
  9. Garnish with basil
