Black Forest Caprese Salad

Layers upon layers of deli-style Black Forest Ham take the traditional Italian Caprese salad to another level. Just slice thick and stack for a light lunch or a simple start to a special meal.

What you need
8 oz. Sara Lee® Black Forest Ham , thick slices
3 large tomatoes, sliced
2 balls fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
3/4 tsp. salt, divided
3/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper, divided
How to Make it
1.Trim off a thin slice from the top and bottom of the tomatoes to make a flat surface
2.Slice each tomato into 4 even slices
3.Cut each mozzarella ball into 4 even slices
4.In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar and 1/4 tsp. of salt and pepper
5.Slowly whisk in 1/4 cup of olive oil until vinaigrette is emulsified
6.Season tomatoes and mozzarella with basil, salt, and pepper
7.Cut ham into triangles
8.Drizzle 2 Tbsp. of vinaigrette over stacks
9.Garnish with basil
