Italian Turkey & Ham Sub

All hands-on deck! Get ready to dive into this super sub packed with Cajun Style Turkey and Brown Sugar Ham slices. Add in bacon, peppers, cheese and more for sharing at a luncheon or on a party tray.

What you need
1 1/4 lb. Sara Lee® Brown Sugar Ham , sliced
1 loaf soft Italian bread (12)
1/2 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
1/2 cup ed cabbage, thinly shredded
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
1/2 cup banana peppers, drained & sliced
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. red pepper flakes, crushed
1 tsp. sea salt, to taste
2 tbsp. brown mustard
4 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/4 lb. mozzarella cheese
8 strips applewood-smoked bacon, cooked
1 tsp cracked black pepper, to taste
How to Make it
1.Pre-heat the oven to 300 F. In a medium bowl, lightly toss lettuce, cabbage, green onions, banana peppers, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and the red pepper flakes
2.Add salt to taste and set aside
3.Slice Italian loaf in half, crosswise, and place on sheet pan
4.Warm in oven for 1 minute
5.Place on a board and split apart
6.Spread brown mustard and mayonnaise on each half
7.Add folded turkey slices and ham slices on bottom half of bread
8.Place mozzarella cheese evenly on the ham
9.Place bacon strips evenly on cheese
10.Add lettuce and cabbage mix
11.Season with cracked pepper and serve
